Romans 8:25

But if we hope for what we do not see,  we wait for it with patience.

Christian Based Sales

As sales professionals we are constantly working to develop new opportunities.  We need to be patient as we meet with contacts over a period of time to learn about their challenges and needs.   We need time to establish credibility and  awareness of how we could help in the future.

If we try to force our agenda on a prospective client, we will damage the trust and rapport.  We need to maintain our positive outlook, expecting good things to happen, as we go about our work.  One day the phone will ring or an email will arrive to notify us of an opportunity.

We need urgency in our work to seed a sufficient number of potential opportunities across a number of target accounts to develop a healthy pipeline.  Because we are diligent in prospecting we can be patient for new opportunity to arise.

Are you patient at the right times in the sales cycle?   When is patience counter productive in sales?  Is there sufficient urgency in your prospecting efforts?
