Proverbs 17:22

"A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."

Christian Based Selling

We need to wake up each day grateful to have the opportunity to help people solve their business problems.   The current circumstances of your job performance--should that happen to be in a lull-- should have no bearing on the joy with which you meet the day.   People buy you when you demonstrate passion, enthusiasm, knowledge and understanding for how your solution can help them solve their business problem.   Because there is no perfect solution, in many cases they will overlook certain weaknesses of your solution to do business with someone they like and trust.

As Christians, we need to remember not to get caught up in the drama of our earthly business lives.  Yes, we are focused on achieving our business goals and we want to win the opportunities that align with our solution.  However, the joy we have in our hearts each day is from knowing the Lord, our savior.   We take that joy and share it through the passion and conviction we bring to our work.

Bring Jesus with you to your next meeting.  Ask Him to be in the room with you and reflect after on how you showed up differently.  I guarantee you will begin building a trusted relationship with your business contact.  It may take time for it to bloom but the seed of opportunity will have been planted.  You will also leave your prospect wondering what that X factor is that you possess.

Do you bring Jesus with you to your meetings?  Do you pray before meetings?  What do you pray for?
