Hebrews 4:12

What are the intentions of your heart?   How you orient yourself to the business day is important.  Do you wake up thinking, I need to find a deal today?  Or do you wake up thinking, I need to  find someone who I can help solve their business problems?    

The activity will be the same but the intent of your heart, a service-minded approach, will help you to connect with people in a more meaningful and productive way that aligns with our Christian values.  For more information on how your intent impacts the effectiveness of your qualification process, see my 3/27 post on Proverbs 22:29.  

On ChristianBasedSelling.com we dive into the word each day because as sales professionals we work on the front lines of revenue production where the almighty dollar is king.  In such a world it is easy to get preoccupied with financial success, such as your address and the car you drive, rather than what's in your heart.  The word teaches us that the best way to prosper in business is to conduct ourselves with high integrity and to remain humble and grateful for our success.  Since I began to explore how the word applies to our profession, I have been stunned to discover the word to be as timeless as the human condition.  

Have you examined your heart lately?   When did you last pick up the bible?  Pick it up and observe how the word will reveal your truth to you as quickly as a sword would cut through your flesh.
