​Our profession is filled with opportunity for the devil.  We make a lot of money when we are on top of our revenue goals and are praised as  rain makers which can lead us to think we are pretty hot stuff.  If we develop arrogance it will distance us from God and create space for our adversary to corrupt our lives.   

In our success, let us vow to help others who are less fortunate and maintain humility and gratitude for our blessings.

When we are going through a dry spell, the devil wants to see you lose your hope, your passion, your joy...  your faith.  The devil knows that if he can keep you focused on your fears, doubts and insecurities then he is on his way to destroying your career and, perhaps, creating an opportunity to disrupt your faith.

In our challenged times we need to refocus on putting our trust in the Lord.  We need to recognize there may be a greater purpose in losing a job.   Maybe we will meet a future spouse in our next role...  Perhaps we are meant to share the gospel with someone at our next job...    

Or is our trouble God's way of telling us we have gotten off track in our faith?   Are we putting the word into action in our lives?
